Rick MacMillan retires from SOCAN Foundation, new manager Charlie Andrews on board

SOCAN Foundation today announced that manager Rick MacMillan will retire on August 31, 2015. He has served in this role since 1999 and has been an employee of SOCAN since 1975, initially as Concert Music Administrator, then as the full-time editor of SOCAN’s Words & Music/Paroles & Musique magazines (1990-99) before moving on to oversee management of SOCAN Foundation.
SOCAN Foundation is pleased to welcome Charlie Andrews as the organization’s new Manager, Outreach and Development, based in Toronto. Andrews brings with her considerable experience in arts and music philanthropy. She will work directly with the organization’s board of directors to oversee its grants and awards programs, and build an even more meaningful presence for SOCAN Foundation.
“Charlie is a leader in the arts and music community, and we are excited to have her join our organization,” says SOCAN Foundation president Marc Ouellette.
